This work is a visual memory of the aloneness and emotional distress that sickness brought upon our family.
It was the nadir of that period in our lives, which trees ravaged by storms or hollowed out by lightning represented the assault on my wife's body and on our family, acting as an awesome reminder of the fragility of life.
