In the forest around the house nature unceasingly engulfs my progress.
Trying to find some form of balance - whilst creating fire wood for the winter - means that I have to select the weaker trees from the stronger, and in felling them, allowing the canopies space to grow.
Apart from the inherent dangers in the mechanical process, taking the life of a living organism is not something that I enjoy, but from this brutal act is born the opportunity for nature to once again manifest itself in the seemingly perfect chaos that is its true majesty.
